Zombies On Base: Unifying the Zombieverse

As we continue to expand and refine the vision of the Zombieverse, we are taking a significant step forward by merging our collections, Based Zombies and Based Zombies Artifacts, into a single new contract: Zombies On Base. This consolidation will streamline the entire ecosystem, making it easier to manage and ensuring all zombies exist within a unified collection.

Why the Merge?

By bringing all our creations under one contract, we enhance both the user experience and the future scalability of the project. This shift allows for:

Seamless Management: A single contract simplifies tracking, development, and expansion.
Future-Proofing: Upcoming artwork sets can be seamlessly integrated into the collection.
Stronger Market Presence: With the help of OpenSea, we will be transferring all secondary market volume to the new contract, ensuring continued visibility and liquidity for holders.
A True Home for the Zombieverse: "Zombies On Base" will serve as the foundation for all future developments, cementing itself as the heart of the ecosystem.

The merge will be announced via the official zombiesonbase x account. Follow us and notifications: on. We are aiming to have the merge live by the end march and the entire month of april 2025.

How will the Merge Be Completed?

To ensure a smooth transition, we will be implementing different processes for each collection:

Based Zombies: The merge will be executed via a burn/mint mechanism, allowing active holders to burn their existing Zombie NFT and receive the exact same one on the new collection contract.
Based Zombies Artifacts: Owners of collectibles will be required to burn their items and provide proof of the blockchain transaction. Upon verification, we will airdrop the same piece back to the original wallet. Alternatively, owners can send their Based Zombies Artifacts to zombieson.base.eth, and we will airdrop back the corresponding NFT on the new Zombies On Base contract.

Once the merge is completed and most of our active holders have transitioned, we will be launching our new zombified collection: The Undead Punks. Each zombie that has been merged to the new Zombies On Base contract will be eligible to mint a free Dead Punk.
